Government Accountability
As citizens, we need to work together to hold State and local government accountable. For example, during years of declining revenue, our state payroll increased while unaccountable bureaucrats continued signing contracts to lease office space that was unneeded and often never used.
City governments are utilizing resources for private gain, fire districts engaging in questionable practices, and school districts across the state are being accused of engaging in partisan political activities with taxpayer dollars intended to be spent in our children's classrooms.
We will work to expose government entities at all levels that misuse taxpayer dollars and abuse the citizen's trust.
Finally, we will highlight ways government can eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse by tapping the free enterprise system for more services, ending corporate welfare, and the business of government entrepreneurship, which allows some to become very wealthy by milking our tax dollars from the government.
We will defend and encourage the expansion of the term limits passed by voters as they bring new people with new ideas to government; keep government more closely connected with the people and help fight corruption in the political process.
Stand up against out-of-control spending!
The Adam Smith Foundation urges you to call your legislators to tell them you will not stand for any more frivolous wastes of money.
