Junk Science a Real Problem for Missouri Courts

During the run-up to the election, it is likely that many of you may not have seen the story of the third ludicrous, multi-million-dollar baby powder case decided in St. Louis.

As in the last two cases, this involved an out-of-state plaintiff suing an out-of-state defendant in Missouri, solely because of our courts' nonsensical venue policy, lax standards, and reputation for plaintiff-friendly awards. Yet again, junk science that is not accepted in other states has been used in a multi-million-dollar lawsuit.
